Good day I have been interested in taking care of older people for some time. Both my parents suffer from dementia and I have found compassion and humility in caring for them. I also have experience and enjoy working with and taking care of children. I am looking for day shifts on a flexible part time basis. I am starting a small business from home and would like to combine this with caring for others. I have always worked in the capacity of supporting people - I am an Irish registered secondary school English and Drama teacher. I taught for some time in the UK and in South Africa. I have also worked with autistic young adults in day services in Tallaght and Celbridge where I demonstrated patience and care for vulnerable people in the community. I trained in the various HSE requirements in this role and gained a strong understanding of health and safety protocols in caregiving. The role included personal, intimate care. My career then lead me to working for a NPO in Dublin that supports DEIS schools with educational programmes. Through my experience I have developed excellent communication skills and in understanding of others.
